Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior DevSecOps/CI-CD Engineer to support secure software delivery pipelines for a mission-critical platform serving an Intelligence Community customer. You will help automate builds, tests, and deployments across multiple enclaves in a zero-trust, hub-and-spoke architecture.

You will work with seasoned DevSecOps and cybersecurity professionals to strengthen pipeline security, maintain artifacts and SBOMs, and document evidence for RMF/cATO; this onsite role in Chantilly, VA

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience; additional 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines in a production environment.
• Experience working with containers and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating or maintaining automated security scanning tools within software development or delivery workflows.
• Proficiency with Git and at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code and deployment automation tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, or the ability to obtain the required certification within the applicable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Support automated software builds, packaging, artifact management, testing, and deployments to containerized environments.
• Use Git for source control, branching, and collaboration across teams.
• Maintain and extend reusable pipeline templates and automation scripts with guidance from senior engineers.
• Assist with pipeline configuration and deployment automation using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar technologies.
