Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst for our client in Anchorage, AK. The role focuses on updating data maps, documenting data flows, and ensuring data quality across reporting environments.

You will analyze data, support UAT, validate reports and dashboards, and collaborate with IT and project teams to improve data accuracy and reduce duplicates.

Qualifications

Job description

CTG is seeking to fill a Jr. Data Analystposition for our client.

Location: Anchorage, AK

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain data maps for existing reporting data elements and develop data flow diagrams to document the application environment.
• Work with IT and project team members to ensure system and data documentation supports long-term operational and support needs.
• Perform data analysis and report quality assurance prior to user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate scheduled report distribution, dashboard refreshes, and reporting outputs for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and update an application glossary, including system terminology, data definitions, and acronyms, to improve organizational knowledge and usability.
• Identify duplicate or inconsistent data elements, including locations, materials, and other key data attributes.
• Develop best practices and reporting approaches for identifying duplicate or inconsistent information.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities to improve data quality and reduce the creation of duplicate information.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Exago and/or Power BI preferred.
• Familiarity with data mapping, data flow documentation, data validation, and QA.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to data accuracy and consistency.
• Experience supporting UAT and validating reports or dashboards is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
