T.O. Haas Tire has been serving the community since 1947. With 24 locations across Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa, we are growing rapidly. We sell various tire brands for cars, pickups, SUVs, tractors, trailers, ATVs, pivot irrigation systems, and more. Our services include tires, wheels, batteries, oil changes, alignments, brakes, exhausts, shocks, struts, cooling systems, transmission fluid flushes, and more. We employ ASE Certified Technicians dedicated to keeping your vehicle in optimal condition.

Position Overview

The Junior Automotive Technician is responsible for basic automotive diagnostics and repairs, including oil changes, tire and wheel services, and light vehicle maintenance.

Pay: $40,000 to $60,000 per year

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs based on experience level
• Mount/dismount tires, balance wheels, rotate tires
• Conduct oil changes, fluid changes, power flushes, and other basic services
• Use company’s Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order to document vehicle condition
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience preferred
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment properly
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

The role involves exposure to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, and other materials. Work environment varies with temperature extremes. PPE may be required.

• Stand for up to 8 hours, walk, bend, kneel, crouch
• Lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff
• Vision sufficient for detailed work
