The Jr. Developer Program (JDP) Administrative Team is seeking a Jr. Administrative Assistant to support one of Amazon's elite internship programs. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn how to run a global, cross-functional internship program, contribute to career-changing opportunities for students worldwide, and continuously innovate on behalf of your customers. Jr. Administrative Assistants are key to planning and executing many of our day-to-day program-related tasks, including recruiting coordination, event planning, project management, and general administrative support. They integrate into their site's JDP population and create meaningful connections with other program participants. Jr. Administrative Assistants support the execution of team-level goals, collaborate with team members, communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, and contribute fresh perspectives to what we do.

Jr. Administrative Assistant candidates must be exceptionally organized and have excellent communication abilities. Candidates have an interest in launching new initiatives and enjoy the challenges that come with innovation. They thrive under pressure and seek opportunities for growth. Most importantly, candidates are customer-obsessed and regularly work backwards from their customer.

The Jr. Administrative Assistant role is an internship offered by the Jr. Developer Program. Jr. Developer Program roles provide several unique offerings that set them apart from other internship opportunities:

  1. Year-round employment: 16 hrs/week during the school year and 40hrs/week during the summer and school breaks.
  2. Flexible schedules: choose your working schedule* and adjust as-needed each school session to accommodate any class schedule changes.
  3. Pair 1:1 with a hands-on role-model: your mentor provides the support, guidance, and training you'll need to be successful at Amazon.
  4. Opportunities for growth: clearly established performance expectations and regular reviews help you maintain a positive growth trajectory.
  5. Real-world experience: meaningful projects and tasks make a significant impact on your customer's experience.

*Working schedules must fall within 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday. Alternative hours may be requested to accommodate program-related events. All hours worked on-site at an assigned Seattle corporate office.
