Join Premier Group Services, Inc. as a Junior Accountant and be part of a dynamic team committed to providing exceptional financial management and consulting services to a diverse range of clients. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the organization while gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
Essential Functions
- Complete all bookkeeping, produce monthly financial packages, indirect cost reports, and dashboards.
- Pull monthly bank statements.
- Pull monthly credit card statements.
- Pull payroll reports.
- Ensure proper coding of all transactions.
- Reconcile all bank, credit card, LOC, and loan accounts.
- Complete payroll journal entries.
- Complete monthly accruals such as income, expense, and payroll.
- Complete depreciation journal entries.
- Review prepaid accounts and amortize if necessary.
- Handle client monthly invoicing.
- Create and balance indirect cost reports.
- Create monthly financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, accounts receivable, accounts payable, updated open items list).
- Create monthly dashboards.
- Ensure client issues are addressed efficiently, informing the Staff Accountant or Senior Accounting Associate of any problems.
- Maintain regular communication with team members.
- Understand company capabilities and services to communicate effectively.
- Work closely with the accountant.
- Report to the Senior Accounting Associate, providing regular updates on account activity and reports weekly.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
- 1 year bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
