Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Communication Wireworker / Network Infrastructure Electrician for Amarillo, TX. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining electrical, copper/fiber cabling, and low-voltage systems across utility facilities and data centers.

Travel and overnight stays are frequent as this is a long-term resource supporting modernization and infrastructure projects. A Journeyman Electrician license and BICSI certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• BICSI Technician (TECH) certification or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Experience in electrical and telecom cabling in utility environments is expected.
• Experience reading electrical and network drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for communications equipment.
• Install 120V/208V circuits for cabinets, networking gear, and systems infrastructure.
• Land breakers, terminate, and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
• Install conduit, cable trays, raceways, grounding, and related infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical and network drawings and documentation.
