Job summary

City of Sioux Falls is hiring a journeyman welder to perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical work in the repair, maintenance, and rebuilding of City-owned vehicles and equipment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with a welding program and 3 years of welding experience; AWS GMAW D1.1 is desirable. Willing to work weekends and be able to obtain a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with welding program and 3+ years of welding experience.
• AWS GMAW D1.1 certification is desirable.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, nights, and extended hours in emergencies.
