Job summary

Copper River Family of Companies in Maine is seeking a Welder (Pipefitter) to perform journey-level welding, fabrication, repair, modification, rebuilding, and assembly of metal components for industrial and Naval applications in Kittery, ME.

The role requires reading blueprints and specs, selecting materials, and producing welds meeting penetration, fusion, and finish requirements. OSHA safety and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated journeyman-level welding skills.
• Experience with gas welding processes (oxyacetylene, etc.).
• Experience with arc welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, plasma).
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings and specs.
• Welding dissimilar metals and achieving complete penetration.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level welding using multiple processes.
• Weld, repair, fabricate, rebuild, and assemble metal parts and structures.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders to determine procedures.
• Plan operations and select welding methods and materials.
• Ensure weld quality meets specs and safety standards.
• Support NDE testing and repair as needed.
