Job summary

Atkore in Wayne, MI is hiring a Tool & Die Maker - Journeyman for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm). You will diagnose, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures, set up CNC and conventional machines, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Strong math and verbal skills along with a Journeyman card are required. Responsibilities include testing tool performance, selecting materials, interfacing with customers, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience in Tool & Die making.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Journeyman cardholder status required.
• Basic math and verbal skills.
• Experience with CAD and CNC software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine assemblies to repair tools and dies.
• Ensure tool accuracy by testing runs and verifying specifications.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools.
• Select appropriate metals and materials per project specs.
• Interface with customers to ensure demands are met.
• Complete paperwork and tags accurately.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and PIT safety.
• Support 5S initiatives in the work area.
