Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Journeyman Technical Writer to support the GMOS program for the Department of State. You will create precise documentation across infrastructure engineering, server installations, and deployment procedures, while coordinating with engineers and project managers to keep materials aligned with security requirements.

The role emphasizes strong writing, SOP development, and diagrams, with up to 10% travel and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in technical writing, documentation development, technical communication, or information design.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Proven experience creating technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and SOPs for IT environments.
• Strong writing and editing skills with ability to create clear, concise technical documentation for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate technical documents for all infrastructure engineering and implementation activities across the CA IT enterprise.
• Develop detailed infrastructure diagrams for all production systems ensuring alignment with security requirements.
• Create technical documents and diagrams for server installations, including configuration specifications and deployment procedures.
• Document site surveys and recommendations for renovations and infrastructure components at worldwide locations.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules for all special projects with stakeholders alignment.
• Refine and maintain SOPs for deployments, updating them semi-annually.
• Maintain installation and upgrade schedules with weekly updates and communicate changes.
• Deliver deployment tracking reports for post self-installs and professional installations.
• Develop user guides, technical manuals, and training materials for end users and technical staff.
