Job summary

CACI seeks a Technical Writer for the GMOS contract supporting the Department of State. The role leads documentation for infrastructure engineering, server deployments, and site surveys, ensuring security and compliance with DOS/DT standards.

Qualifications

BA/BS plus 13 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Active Secret clearance is required.
Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining complex IT documentation.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accurate docs for technical and government audiences.
Experience developing documentation standards, templates, SOPs, and implementation guides.
Experience with diagrams and system/infrastructure documentation.
Experience with document lifecycle, version control and approvals.
Experience collaborating with engineers, cybersecurity, PMs, and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead creation of accurate technical documents for infrastructure engineering and implementation.
Set documentation standards for infrastructure diagrams to meet DOS/DT security needs.
Direct production of technical docs and diagrams for server installations across the global enterprise.
Define documentation strategy for site surveys and renovations of infrastructure components.
Establish project plans and schedules documentation for all special projects.
Create SOPs for deployments with semi-annual reviews and process improvements.
Oversee installation/upgrade schedule documentation with weekly updates.
Direct deployment tracking report strategy for post self-installs and team activities.
Provide leadership on major assignments with responsibility for goals, staffing, and budgets.
