Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to support the GMOS contract for the Department of State. The role focuses on creating accurate infrastructure documentation, standards, diagrams, and project plans in collaboration with engineering and security teams.

You will guide a cross-functional team, manage document lifecycle, and ensure ITSM practices and government requirements are met, delivering high-quality documentation across global deployments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and extensive documentation experience.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for technical, management, and government audiences.
• Experience developing and enforcing documentation standards, templates, SOPs, technical plans, and implementation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical/management leadership for creating accurate technical documents for infrastructure engineering and implementation activities.
• Establishes documentation standards for detailed infrastructure diagrams ensuring compliance with DOS and DT security requirements.
• Directs creation of technical documents and diagrams for all server installation activities across global enterprise.
• Establishes documentation strategy for site surveys and recommendations for renovations, infrastructure components, and physical placement of equipment.
• Establishes documentation standards for comprehensive project plans and schedules for all special projects.
• Establishes SOPs for deployments with semi-annual reviews ensuring continuous improvement and recommended improvements implementation.
• Directs installation and upgrade schedule documentation with weekly updates ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Directs deployment tracking report strategy for post self-installs and installation team activities.
• Provides technical/management leadership on major assignments, establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives, and directs activities with overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing
