Job summary

Fields LexusGlenview in Glenview, IL is seeking a seasoned Automotive Technician to deliver a luxury service experience for our customers. You will perform repairs per repair orders, test-drive vehicles, and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

With 5+ years of experience and a customer-service mindset, you will work closely with the Service Advisor, handle warranty work, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience required.
• Toyota/Lexus experience a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs per repair order with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Provide time estimates for additional work to customers and Service Advisor.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience required
• Toyota / Lexus experience a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

PAY: 29.00 - 49.60 DOE
