Job summary

Austin Industrial in Owensboro, KY seeks a Journeyman Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding at industrial sites. This full-time, on-site position requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and strict adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Scaffold Builder with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures.
• Transport scaffold materials and erect scaffold to required dimensions.
• Hoist scaffolding materials and secure sections for stability.
• Inspect scaffolding and stow materials after dismantling.
• Adhere to OSHA, site-specific and company requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
