Job summary

Kodiak Roofing and Waterproofing is seeking a Journeyman Roofer I to perform commercial roofing work with a focus on safety and quality. You will apply trade knowledge and installation experience to install various roofing systems and support coordination on busy jobsites.

You will read plans, follow specifications, and work with the team to achieve production goals while upholding safety standards. This role includes opportunities for training and professional growth within a safety-first

Qualifications

• 2-4 years commercial roofing experience required.
• Working knowledge of roofing systems and installation standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial roofing systems (single-ply, metal, insulated systems as applicable).
• Perform flashing, detailing, and terminations.
• Execute work according to specifications and quality expectations.
• Read plans and understand basic project layouts.
• Identify and correct installation deficiencies.
• Maintain production goals while prioritizing safety.
• Support Assistant Roofers through guidance and training.
• Exercise Stop-Work Authority when serious hazards are identified.
