Kodiak Roofing and Waterproofing is hiring for an Assistant Roofer I to join our commercial roofing team. This entry-level role supports experienced crews while you learn installation techniques, safety practices, tools, and jobsite operations on outdoor projects.

You will assist with setup, transport materials, and perform basic roofing tasks under supervision. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position designed for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are eager to learn.
• Experience in construction or roofing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry and move roofing materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with jobsite setup, preparation, and teardown.
• Perform basic roofing installation tasks including insulation placement, coverboard installation, membrane handling, fastening, trims, coping cap, reglet, and counter flashing.
• Carry, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment on the jobsite and roof.
• Support experienced roofers with installation, preparation, cleanup, and material handling tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain housekeeping and a safe work environment.
• Follow company safety procedures and participate in required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
