Ames Community School District is seeking a full-time Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across all district buildings and facilities in Ames, IA. Under supervision of the Director of Facilities, you will troubleshoot issues, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with local codes.

The role requires a journeyman license (backflow testing certification preferred), a clean driving record, and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifikationen

• Requires journeyman plumbing license.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–5 years of related experience and/or training in plumbing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a clean driving record; valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds daily.

Aufgaben

• Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems across the district.
• Inspects plumbing systems for issues and leaks.
• Troubleshoots and resolves plumbing malfunctions promptly.
• Performs all backflow testing in the district.
• Responds to emergency plumbing issues and weather-related tasks.
• Maintains and repairs restrooms, kitchens, and other facilities.
