Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber for live-field operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. You will read construction drawings, install plumbing systems for new commercial and multifamily projects, and collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of commercial plumbing experience, strong reading of plans, and a commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and professional jobsite performance.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License is required.
• 5–10 years of commercial plumbing experience with significant new construction background.
• Ability to read and interpret full construction plan sets.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and codes.
• Driver's license with clean record; able to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing installations for new construction projects on site.
• Read, interpret, and execute from construction drawings and specs.
• Install plumbing systems per plans, codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and other trades.
• Identify field issues and communicate material needs promptly.
• Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and organization per OSHA.
• Maintain daily records and support project schedules.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation.

This role is designed for a skilled tradesman who can read and execute from construction documents, perform high-quality installations, and work collaboratively with project teams to deliver work on time and according to project specifications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical plumbing knowledge with a commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and professional jobsite performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day plumbing installation activities for new construction commercial and multifamily projects.
• Read, interpret, and execute from construction drawings, specifications, and issued-for-construction documents.
• Install plumbing systems in accordance with project plans, applicable codes, and company quality standards.
• Coordinate daily work activities with Project Managers, Foremen, General Contractors, and other trades on site.
• Identify and communicate field issues, scope conflicts, RFIs, and material needs in a timely manner.
• Assist with material organization, inventory management, and jobsite readiness to support efficient workflow.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Complete assigned work within project schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate daily work records and jobsite documentation as required.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation as scheduled.

Experience & Requirements

Required:

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License (required).
• 5-10 years of commercial plumbing experience with significant new construction background.
• Demonstrated ability to read and execute from full construction plan sets including civil, architectural, mechanical, and plumbing drawings.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installation methods, and applicable plumbing codes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative construction team.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Must obtain OSHA 30 certification within 60 days of employment (company-supported).
• Ability to obtain and maintain security badging for Dallas ISD, DFW Airport, and other secured facilities.
• Strong communication skills and a professional jobsite presence.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred:

• Bluebeam Revu experience for plan review and field coordination.
• Procore experience for project documentation and project collaboration.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, institutional, or multifamily projects.
• Familiarity with DFW-area commercial construction projects and jobsite requirements.
