Job summary

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our commercial construction team. You will install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems on a variety of projects, ensuring workmanship meets code, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial plumbing experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and installation practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Experience brazing copper piping.
  • Proficient with plumbing hand tools and power equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial plumbing systems according to blueprints, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble piping systems using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Install piping supports, hangers, valves, fixtures, and plumbing equipment.
  • Perform rough-in and finish plumbing installations on commercial construction projects.
  • Braze and solder copper piping as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and fellow tradespeople to meet project schedules.
  • Mentor and assist apprentice plumbers by providing hands-on training and guidance.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite procedures.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and rooftops.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work safely in confined spaces.
  • Perform work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to perform detailed installation work.
  • Successfully pass required drug screenings and maintain a drug-free workplace.
