Job Description

The Plumber Trade Worker will serve as a key contributor on active commercial construction jobsites, supporting licensed plumbers, foremen, and superintendents in the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where every day brings new challenges and real opportunities to develop your craft. You will work on a diverse mix of projects ranging from small tenant finish‑outs to large‑scale commercial developments, gaining experience across a wide variety of plumbing systems and jobsite environments.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste, vent systems, storm drain systems, and underground piping.
  • Support layout and installation of piping, fixtures, valves, hangers, and plumbing equipment according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents under supervision.
  • Cut, thread, assemble, and secure pipes using hand tools and power tools.
  • Assist with testing plumbing systems for leaks and functionality.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment at jobsites.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Work alongside field leadership to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with foremen, superintendents, and fellow team members.
  • Follow all company safety procedures including proper use of PPE and equipment.
  • Participate in training opportunities to continue developing plumbing trade skills.
Required Experience/Skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial plumbing or construction experience.
  • Basic understanding of construction tools and jobsite safety protocols.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the plumbing trade.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • OSHA‑10 certification required (company will provide opportunity to complete course prior to employment if not yet obtained).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.
