Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Plumber for permanent, full-time work on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects in the Cincinnati and Columbus markets. The role involves installing and repairing storm, sanitary, gas, vent, and water piping systems, adhering to code and safety standards, and using a range of tools and materials.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Journeyman license with 5+ years of experience, are proficient with leak detection, and maintain OSHA

Qualifications

• A valid Journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial/industrial plumbing field.
• Knowledge of state and local plumbing regulations.
• Proficiency in using pressure gauges and leak detection tools.
• Experience with couplings, cement, plastic solvents, clamps, welding equipment, and brazing.
• Ability to hang steel supports from joists to hold pipes in place.
• Experience installing storm, sanitary, gas, vent, and water piping systems and connecting fixtures.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-phase construction projects.
• Strong English language skills.
• A strong focus on safety.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Following state and local plumbing regulations to ensure all work is up to code.
• Utilizing pressure gauges and other tools for leak detection and to monitor the functionality of plumbing systems.
• Employing various materials and tools such as couplings, cement, plastic solvents, clamps, welding equipment, and brazing to repair and install plumbing systems.
• Hanging steel supports from joists to hold pipes in place during installation or repair.
• Installing storm, sanitary, gas, vent, and water piping systems and connecting fixtures and plumbing to these systems.
• Ensuring safety is a priority on every job site by adhering to OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 guidelines.
• Operating hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
