Job summary

The Department of Corrections, Division of Juvenile Corrections, is recruiting a Plumber for the Milwaukee Youth facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incumbent performs journeyman-level plumbing duties, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and related mechanical systems in accordance with codes, plans, and work orders.

Starting pay ranges from $53.36 to $55.08 per hour, with a probationary period and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid, unrestricted Journeyman Plumber license or Master Plumber license.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to drive a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and related mechanical operations in accordance with plumbing codes, plans, and specifications or work orders.
• Perform duties at journeyman level under general supervision using plumbing tools, equipment, and methods.
