Job summary

Energy Resource Center in Colorado seeks a Journey worker plumber for service work and repairs on high-efficiency plumbing systems. You will mentor apprentices, read blueprints, and ensure code compliance while delivering quality residential plumbing services.

Responsibilities include diagnosing leaks, installing heat pump and tankless water heaters, and maintaining accurate installation records. Travel to service regions is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of residential plumbing experience.
• Valid Colorado journeyman license.
• Valid CO driver’s license or ability to obtain within two weeks.
• Ability to read blueprints and plumbing codes.
• Willingness to mentor apprentices.
• Lifts up to 60 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair DWV and domestic water systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to leaks in residential settings and perform repairs.
• Install/repair heat pump, tankless, and power-vented water heaters.
• Configure plumbing systems with correct venting and sizing.
• Maintain records of installations and repairs in software.
• Keep paperwork flowing per internal processes and compliance.
• Follow safety protocols and code requirements on all jobs.
• Educate clients on high-efficiency plumbing and energy saves.
• Keep tools, sites, and service vehicles clean and organized.
• Train and mentor apprentices in trade techniques.
• Assist other departments after plumbing tasks are complete.
