Job summary

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Plumber to join our team. This dayshift position will primarily work Monday through Friday.

The role includes performing plumbing installation, maintenance and repairs, and responding to emergency requests as needed. A valid Journeyman License and a High School Diploma or GED are required, with at least two years of experience and an active driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Journeyman License.
• Two years of experience.
• Must have and maintain active and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for plumbing duties in construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing.
• Plans and implements preventative maintenance program for plumbing lines, valves, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
• Inspects plumbing lines, fixtures and equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Responds to plumbing repair work orders and emergency requests as assigned.
• Repairs and replaces leaking lines, faucets, and plumbing apparatus and equipment.
• Installs plumbing lines and valves to boilers and heating equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith, landscaping, HVAC.
