Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our Construction Division in the DMV region (Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.). The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on commercial construction projects, working with supervisors and other trades to meet schedule and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber license.
• Minimum 4 years of plumbing experience in a commercial construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Proficiency with plumbing tools, equipment, and installation methods.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field crew.
• Dependability and a strong commitment to jobsite safety.
• Ability to travel to assigned commercial project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
• Install piping, fixtures, valves, supports, and related equipment.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping using approved tools and methods.
• Lay out plumbing systems according to project drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Coordinate installation activities with supervisors and other trades.
• Complete assigned work according to project schedules and quality expectations.
• Inspect completed systems for proper installation and operation.
