Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) seeks an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to lead plumbing crews on large-scale projects in Blacksburg, VA and surrounding areas. This hands-on role directs daily field activities, coordinates manpower and materials, and ensures installations meet plans, specs, and codes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial plumbing or piping experience, prior crew leadership, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing or piping experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily work of plumbing crews (2–7 employees).
• Lead the installation of commercial plumbing systems per drawings and specs.
• Provide hands-on guidance and training to mechanics and helpers.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity on site.
• Communicate material needs and schedule concerns promptly.
• Support project management with RFIs and scope changes.
