Job summary

Kiewit Corporation is seeking an experienced equipment operator for diverse road construction and maintenance projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will operate heavy equipment, load and spread materials, and trench for utilities, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role requires ability to follow complex instructions, perform inspections, and sometimes train others in proper operation and procedures on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior years of field experience.
• Must possess working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain and repair roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and water/sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain all fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
