Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled pipefitter to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in accordance with project plans, codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities include reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, welding and threading joints, aligning components, hydro testing, and ensuring work meets contract specifications while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience
• Strong working knowledge for the position
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Proficient in safe use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings and take measurements to fabricate and install piping efficiently
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding
• Install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports
• Hydro test piping systems
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed
• Inspect work for compliance with contract plans and specifications
