Job summary

A/Z Corporation in Rhode Island is seeking a Pipe Welder to participate in installation, maintenance, and inspection of HVAC, utility and process piping systems at fabrication facilities or project sites.

You will work with carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, fiberglass, copper, and various brazing methods, performing welds in multiple positions while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Field Experience, trade school or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction.
• Appropriate state certification or license.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend assigned location, including the A/Z fabrication facility or project sites.
• Weld pipe and components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various welding processes.
• Prepare surfaces and inspect work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operate welding equipment and set up tools per specifications.
• Direct helpers or apprentices as directed by management.
