Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter to fabricate butt weld pipe, threaded pipe, and socket weld pipe; install above and below ground piping, hangers and supports, valves and inline specialties, and perform stress relieving, alignment, and testing.

A Journeyman Pipefitter must master pipefitting math, hand and power tools, and read drawings and isometrics; four years of heavy industrial field experience and the ability to perform take-offs and rigging are required.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Pipefitter.
• Able to execute material take offs, figure offsets, and rigging.
• Must have locking toolbox and tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to complete all pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pipefitting safety—work safely around hazards in the pipefitting field.
• Pipefitting tools—use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
• Construction math—competent in fractions, decimals, geometry, trigonometry.
• Reading drawings and detail sheets—interpret indexes and line lists.
• Advanced blueprint reading—interpret piping drawings and isometrics.
• Identifying and installing valves—understand valve types and actuators.
• Pipe hangers and supports—identify and place hangers and supports.
• Threaded pipe fabrication—read joint drawings and calculate offsets.
• Socket weld/butt weld fabrication—identify fittings and read drawings.
• Rigging equipment—use chain hoists, come-alongs, and jacks safely.
