Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company in Catawba, SC is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for our heavy industrial project site. The role covers fabrication, installation, and testing of butt weld, threaded, and socket weld piping, plus inline components and supports.

You will master piping codes, hand and power tools, and rigging procedures to ensure safe, quality execution. The candidate should have four years of field experience, the ability to read drawings and perform takeoffs, and must

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Pipefitter.
• Able to correctly execute material take offs, figure offsets, take off to fittings and rigging.
• Must have locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pipefitting Safety – work safely around the hazards associated with the Pipefitting field.
• Pipefitting Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools in a safe manner.
• Construction Math -Demonstrates competency in construction math including fractions, decimals, geometry, formulae and trigonometry.
• Drawing and Detail Sheets – Identify parts and interpret drawings and line lists.
• Advanced Blueprint Reading – Read piping arrangement drawings and interpret GPS coordinates, elevations, and P&ID plans.
• Identifying and Installing Valves – identify purpose and types of valves and actuators.
• Pipe Hangers and Supports – identify hangers, interpret drawings, install supports.
• Threaded Pipe Fabrication – identify materials and read joint drawings, calculate offsets.
• Socket Weld/Butt Weld Pipe Fabrication - identify fittings and read pipe drawings.
• Rigging Equipment – identify and use rigging equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
