Job summary

Polk Mechanical is seeking skilled tradespeople to join our high-performing team in field-based mechanical piping installations. You will read blueprints, install pipe systems for steam, heating, cooling, and industrial processes, and ensure joints are properly made using a variety of techniques.

The role requires experience with pipefitting, welding, and HVAC systems, plus a valid driver’s license. Expect a physically demanding environment with opportunities for growth within a growing,

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications for mechanical piping systems.
• Ability to weld aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel using Mig, Tig, and stick processes.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe type and size per job specs.
• Inspect worksites to ensure no obstructions or structural weakness.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid conflicts with other workers.
• Assemble and install metal and nonmetal pipe and fittings (brass, copper, lead, glass, plastic).
• Join piping using threaded, caulked, welded, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems and controls.
