Job summary

Polk Mechanical is seeking a dedicated Plumber to perform plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance work while supporting general trade activities on construction sites. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to assist across multiple trades in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, measure and install piping, and troubleshoot under supervision.

Qualifications

• Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing piping and materials
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies
• Willingness to learn and take direction from skilled trades
• Experience in plumbing or construction preferred
• OSHA 10 required
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and components
• Support general trade work across job sites
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing piping and materials
• Perform basic troubleshooting and identify issues under supervision
• Load, unload, and transport materials and tools
• Assist skilled tradesmen with daily tasks and job site setup
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
