Job summary

GrayWolf is hiring a Journeyman Pipefitter for our Iva, SC site. The role requires work on butt weld, threaded, and socket weld piping, with ability to install above, underground and specialty piping, supports, valves, and inline components.

Expect to read complex drawings, perform rigging and field fitting tasks, and operate various hand and power tools. The job involves long shifts and outdoor conditions, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Four years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Pipefitter.
• Ability to perform material take offs, offsets, take off to fittings and rigging.
• Must have locking toolbox and tools to perform the job.
• Must be able to complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pipefitting safety – work safely around hazards.
• Use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
• Demonstrate competency in construction math (fractions, decimals, geometry).
• Identify parts from drawings and interpret drawing indexes and line lists.
• Read piping arrangement drawings and interpret GPS coordinates, P&ID plans, isometrics.
• Identify and install valves, hangers, supports and related components.
• Rigging equipment procedures and safety; use chain hoists and jacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
