Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for our Iva, SC site. The candidate will fabricate butt weld, threaded, and socket weld pipe, install piping and supports, and perform stress relief, alignment, and test procedures.

Proficiency with hand and power tools, math, and blueprint interpretation is essential. The role requires strong knowledge of piping isometrics and GPS coordinate interpretation, with the ability to read P&IDs and drawings, and to manage

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Pipefitter.
• Must have locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pipefitting safety – work safely around hazards in the Pipefitting field.
• Pipefitting tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
• Construction math – demonstrate competency in fractions, decimals, geometry, formulae and trig.
• Drawing and detail sheets – identify parts and interpret drawings and line lists.
• Advanced blueprint reading – read piping arrangement drawings and isometric drawings.
• Identifying and installing valves – determine valve purpose and actuators; store and handle valves properly.
• Pipe hangers and supports – identify types, interpret drawings, and determine hanger placement.
• Threaded pipe fabrication – identify materials, read joint drawings, calculate offsets.
• Socket weld/butt weld pipe fabrication – identify fittings and read pipe drawings.
• Rigging equipment – use basic and specialized rigging procedures and equipment safely.
