Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi is seeking an experienced pipe welder to perform layout, welding, and assembly of pipe systems on industrial sites. You will follow plans, specifications, and welding codes to ensure precision and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating with field crews, setting up welds, inspecting work, and performing repairs while adhering to production standards and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior field experience preferred.
• Must understand and follow written and oral instructions; communicate with supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder’s work.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Position the weld setup, fit piping and perform welds with high precision.
• Lay-out and assemble pipes accurately per production standards and specifications.
• Make welding repairs and address substandard welds.
• Assist with pre-fabrication layout or installation coordination.
• Assist with rigging of material.
• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress-relieving machine and other industry equipment.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities and resources needed for a work activity.
• Inspect subordinate's work for contract compliance and address deficiencies.
