Job summary

MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group seeks a Combo Pipe Welder Journeyman for on-site work in Abernathy, TX. You will join metal components using GTAW, SMAW, FACW and GMAW, with weld tests and adherence to site safety and project specifications.

This full-time role runs about 50 hours weekly, with travel up to 90% and daily safety toolbox meetings. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, 401k and ESPP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, weld symbols and diagrams.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as required by site.
• Field install welds including structural components and piping.
• Prepare welding surfaces per procedure to achieve proper joints.
• Coordinate with pipe fitters and other trades as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality at all times.
