Job summary

Strategic Resilience Group is seeking a skilled painter to support healthcare/government facilities. You will perform general painting for new construction, renovations, and hospital areas, including offices and corridors. Prep surfaces, mix coatings, install wall coverings, and maintain equipment while coordinating color selections with interior design staff.

OSHA-certified painter required; normal hours with adherence to VA safety rules and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on painting experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, or facilities settings.
• Current OSHA certification.
• Experience with interior and exterior painting, surface prep, coatings.
• Ability to mix, tint, and apply coating materials.
• Ability to use painting tools, ladders, and safety equipment.
• Ability to follow daily work assignments from VA personnel and coordinate with the COR.
• Ability to complete daily service logs and timecards.
• Compliance with VA facility safety, privacy, information security rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform general painting for new construction, remodels, renovations, and facility redecoration.
• Paint and redecorate offices, wards, corridors, dining halls, living quarters, shop buildings, and other hospital areas.
• Paint and refinish furniture, wood, and metal surfaces including equipment.
• Prepare surfaces using spackling, joint compound, shaping, sanding, and priming.
• Prepare coating materials by tinting, toning, and mixing additives.
• Install vinyl wall coverings and hang wallpaper.
• Tape and bed walls and surfaces as required.
• Perform glazing, caulking, glass cutting, and glass installation.
• Cut stencils, paint signs, and mix colors.
• Assist with street marking and related facility painting tasks.
• Clean, maintain, and care for painting equipment.
• Coordinate with interior design staff on wall coverings and paint color selections.
