Job summary

The Vollrath Company in Wisconsin seeks a certified journeyman millwright to maintain and repair plant machinery. You will read engineering prints, align equipment, connect power, test operations, diagnose malfunctions, and repair or replace parts as needed.

You will install, move, and service machines, weld components, assemble and bolt parts to foundations, and document all maintenance activities. Strong mechanical/system knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Certified Millwright Journeyworker certification required.
• Experience maintaining plant machinery preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow engineering specifications and prints.
• Aligns machines using hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
• Connects power to equipment and tests performance.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and analyzes test results.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and reassembles equipment.
• Installs, moves, and maintains machinery and equipment.
• Documents repairs and maintenance activities.
• Welds components and fabricates as needed.
