Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Halsey, OR is seeking a Journeyman Converting Millwright to install, repair and maintain plant equipment, with a pay rate of $47.38/hour. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, read blueprints, and work with operations to prevent downtime, while following safety guidelines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a journey-level millwright card, 5+ years of experience, and experience with conveyors, bearings, chains, and power transmissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Journey-level millwright card recognized by Oregon BOLI.
• 5+ years journey-level millwright experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with fabrication, torch cutting, and arc welding.
• Experience reading blueprints and precision measurements.
• Experience precision installation and alignment.
• Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors, rollers, pulleys, and shafts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment per plant policies.
• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Collaborate with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Repair machinery including motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and line equipment.
• Read diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer specs.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and participate in safety programs.
• Support meeting production, waste, and quality goals via maintenance programs.
