Sofidel America in Lewiston, Idaho, is seeking an experienced Journeyman Millwright to join our Maintenance team. You will install, maintain and repair industrial machinery to support safe, efficient production.

The role requires apprenticeship or journeyman training, at least 3 years of experience, and strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Expect a union-covered, safety-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

• Completion of a Millwright Apprenticeship or equivalent journeyman training.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with precision measuring and alignment tools.
• Welding and pipefitting experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

Position Overview

Sofidel America is seeking an experienced Journeyman Millwright to join our Maintenance team in Lewiston, Idaho. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

This is a union covered position after the successful completion of 90 days of employment.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and related components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, alignments, component replacement, and equipment overhauls.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors.
• Use precision measuring and alignment tools, hand and power tools, hoists, and rigging equipment to safely install, repair, and relocate machinery.
• Perform welding, pipefitting, and other maintenance-related tasks as needed.
• Support equipment installations, shutdowns, maintenance projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and other departments while following all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Completion of a Millwright Apprenticeship program or equivalent journeyman-level training and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial mechanical maintenance role.
• Industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with precision measuring and alignment tools and industrial machinery.
• Welding and pipefitting experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and teamwork.
