Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in California to oversee the mechanical maintenance of process and facility equipment, ensuring safe operation and adherence to PM programs. The role drives reliability and supports production goals with hands-on leadership.

The starting pay is $41.47 per hour, with increases governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), holidays, disability, EAP, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card required.
• Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems (electrical, gas, air, water).
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment including material handling, instrumentation, control, and production equipment.
• Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance on equipment.
• Comply with all maintenance programs and practices.
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems.

The Mechanic Journeyman is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.

Compensation and Schedule:

The starting pay rate for this role is $41.47 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain plant equipment including material handling equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and production equipment
• Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance responsibilities on equipment
• Comply with all company maintenance programs and practices
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements
• Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems

Minimum skills / qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card
• Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems such as electrical, gas, air, and water systems
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications:

• Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience
