Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Honolulu, HI is hiring experienced Meat Cutters. This full-time hourly role involves stocking and merchandising meat, receiving and preparing products, and assisting customers with special requests. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Apprenticeship completion is required for consideration as a journeyman. Benefits package offered. Meat Cutters will use equipment like meat saws, slicers, grinders, and wrapping machines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must successfully pass apprentice / training apprentice program.
• Must have TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Meat cases must be well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products.
• Receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price and merchandise meat department products.
• Order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen foods that fall under meat department.
• Ensure proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services.
• Operate equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines and knives.
