Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is hiring experienced Meat Cutters to join the team in Hawai`i. This is an hourly, full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred and next steps favor candidates with open availability.

Meat Cutters ensure the meat cases are stocked with fresh products, receive and cut meat, wrap and weigh items, merchandise and price products, and assist customers with specialty requests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must successfully pass apprentice / training apprentice program.
• Must have TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meat cases are stocked with fresh, high-quality products.
• Receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh and price meat products.
• Merchandise meat department items and manage inventory to reduce waste.
• Assist customers with special requests and questions about meat products.
• Operate equipment such as meat saws, slicers and grinders.

Pay: From $27.60/hour

Job-Type: Full-Time (40 hours)

Meat Cutters are responsible for ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products for our customers. They receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise meat department products. They also order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department. They ensure proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste. They assist customers with special requests and answer questions about our meat products and services. Meat cutters work with equipment like meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.
