Job summary

Globe Unified School District is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Worker to perform journeyman tasks across carpentry, electronics, painting, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and related trades.

You will read blueprints, cost out jobs, order materials, and, when required, lead other workers. The role supports district facilities on a 10-hour/day, four-day-per-week schedule for a 12-month term, with a DOE salary.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform all the required tasks of the specific trades.
• Be able to prepare working drawings.
• Be able to skillfully use all tools and materials associated with the trades.
• Completion of relevant apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman tasks across multiple skilled trades (carpentry, electronics, painting, HVAC, refrigeration, locksmithing, electrical, plumbing, roofing, sprinkler systems).
• Read blueprints, cost out jobs, order materials, and use independent judgment to complete tasks.
• Assist in directing other workers when assigned and maintain/troubleshoot trades areas.
