Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc. is seeking an experienced machinist to join its Steel Services team in Louisville, KY. The role involves setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and NC machines to fabricate parts to customer specifications.

The position requires 1–3 years of journeyman machinist experience (Journeyman Certification preferred) and a high school diploma or equivalent. Shift is first shift, Mon–Thu, 5:00 am–3:30 pm, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of journeyman machinist experience or training.
• Journeyman certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines.
• Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts to customer specifications.
• Inspect finished work and verify conformance to specs.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Adjust machine controls to correct for misalignment or tool wear.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues.
