Entergy in New Orleans is seeking a Transmission Lineman to construct, build, and maintain overhead transmission lines from 69 kV to 500 kV. You will operate heavy equipment, perform hot sticking on energized lines, and read detailed prints.

Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years of lineman experience, readiness for irregular hours, and strong teamwork. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and storm readiness within Entergy's service area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to plan and lay out work safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and on-call rotations.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to direct other linemen.

Responsibilities

• Construct, build and maintain overhead transmission lines (69kV-500kV).
• Operate Entergy-owned or rental equipment including bucket trucks, cranes and digger derricks.
• Perform line hot sticking on energized lines and read job prints/sketches.
• Climb poles of various heights and ensure safety procedures are followed.
