Xcel Energy is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to support overhead and underground electric distribution in Sterling, Colorado. The role requires living within 40 minutes of the Sterling Service Center and readiness for after-hours emergencies.

Qualified candidates will have a Journeyman Lineman certification, a completed apprenticeship, and a Class A CDL with Medical Examiner’s Certificate. The position offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay starting at $63.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires Journeyman Lineman certification and apprenticeship program completion.
• CDL Class A with valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate is required.
• Experience with distribution primary feeders, transformers, fusing, meters, PPE and hot-line tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of lineman classification for overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Respond to emergency callouts after hours and weekends.
• Live within 40 minutes/40 miles of the Sterling Service Center.
• Climb poles safely and proficiently; operate related equipment.
• Maintain safety adherence per company and OSHA requirements.
