Xcel Energy is seeking a Journeyman Lineman for Sterling, CO to maintain and repair overhead and underground electric distribution systems. The role requires living within 40 minutes of the Sterling Service Center and readiness for after-hours emergency responses.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL with Medical Certification, and a completed apprenticeship with Journeyman Lineman certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Journeyman Lineman certification and completed apprenticeship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lineman duties for overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Respond to emergency callouts after hours and weekends.
• Must live within 40 minutes/40 miles of Sterling Service Center.
• Operate pole-climbing safely and proficiently.
• Knowledge of distribution primary feeder circuits and transformer loading.
