Job summary

Valley Electric Association, Inc. (VEA) has an immediate opening for a Journeyman Lineman to work in Pahrump, Nevada. The Journeyman Lineman will be responsible for the construction, conversion, relocation, and maintenance of the electrical lines throughout the cooperative's service area.

Education/Experience: High school diploma, completion of an apprenticeship, and a qualifying written exam as a journey lineman. Leadership abilities and knowledge of line construction procedures are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
• Qualified by written exam as a journeyman lineman.
• Ability to lead and knowledge of line construction procedures.

Responsibilities

• Construct, convert, relocate, and maintain electrical lines throughout the service area.
• Follow established procedures and safety practices in line construction and maintenance.
• Liaise with co-workers and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
